The past week and some days the news of the passing of Muhammad Ali
has filled the news media. What can be said that has not been said? I do
not have anything profound to add.
I will only use his life as an example of what I write about—Leadership.
I could go into great detail reviewing each leadership trait and
principle I have been taught and speak about. I will not bore you. I
will ask that you recall my favorite comment about leadership.
"If you cannot do anything I teach about leadership, do this—act like
a leader." Behave in a manner that you would expect those who follow
you should behave.
Muhammad Ali stood up for what he believed from beginning to end. No matter who stood with him or abandoned him, he stood.
What do you stand for? Does your behavior speak for you? Do you take
responsibility for your actions? Do you call yourself a leader?
No, I have nothing new to add to what has been in the news. Bless all of you who read this newsletter.
